JOB DESCRIPTION - Youth Development Professional
Key Functions: The Youth Development Professional should be able to plan, initiate and supervise organized activities. They should demonstrate creative thinking and project management abilities. He or she shall have the ability to deal effectively with Club members, including disciplinary issues. He or she should be able to build supportive relationships with Club members and staff members. He or she should be willing to be responsive to the suggestions of the Unit Director, or immediate supervisor. *Must be 18 years or older to apply*
Employment Status: Part-Time
Major Job Segments:
- Above all, the Youth Development Professional is responsible for the safety and welfare of Club youth within his or her assigned area.
- Ensure members actively participate in a variety of programs and activities, seek advice and guidance from staff in regard to problems and receive caring supervision, respect and recognition while in the Club.
- Organize and implement a range of program services and activities for members that are fun, instructional and safe.
- Ensure safety, positive values and ethical behavior through program quality and the appearance of the Club, at all times.
- Supervise the care and maintenance of the facilities, equipment and supplies, insuring that they are adequately and safely stored at the close of the day and that the work area is left in a clean and neat condition.
- Report to the Club as scheduled to organize and prepare activities before arrival of Club members.
- Refer all serious disciplinary issues to the Unit Director or Chief Executive Officer.
- Assist with additional functions of the Club as assigned.
- Assume other duties as they may be assigned by the Unit Director or Chief Executive Officer.
Accountability: The Youth Development Professional is responsible to the Unit Director.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday

- Owensboro, KY 42301: Relocate before starting work (Required)
